Hi Beam Community, My name is Arunjay Agrawal, and I am a Computer Science and
Mathematics undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am writing
to introduce myself as I am interested in contributing to Apache Beam, with a
long-term goal of participating in Google Summer of Code 2026. I understand
that getting involved early is the best way to understand the project culture
and codebase. I have strong foundations in Java and Python. I have successfully
set up the dev environment and run the WordCount example via the DirectRunner.
Based on my initial research into the project, I plan to start by familiarizing
myself with the IO connectors (specifically in the Java SDK) to identify
potential "good first issues" or documentation improvements. I look forward to
