Hi Apache Beam community,
My name is Mansi Singh, and I am a Master's student in Software
Engineering at Northeastern University (GPA 4.0). I am writing to
introduce myself as a prospective GSoC 2026 contributor.
I am particularly interested in the Kafka Streams Runner project. I
have hands-on experience building Kafka-based microservices and
distributed data pipelines during my work at Nokia, where I designed
an Apache Kafka event reprocessing system for network telemetry
pipelines, reducing error rates to under 1%. I have also built
AI-powered backend systems, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed storage
platforms using Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes.
I would love guidance on beginner issues or parts of the Beam codebase
where I can start contributing. If possible, could someone please send
me an invite to the ASF Slack workspace so I can join the #beam
channel and follow discussions?
