Hi all, Please join me and the rest of the Beam PMC in welcoming Yi Hu ( [email protected]) as the newest member of the PMC.
Yi has been contributing to Beam for around 5 years, and has impacted virtually every aspect of the project. During that time, he has been one of the most consistent developers and reviewers across the project, with contributions spanning IOs, runners, core SDK features, infra, documentation/website, and more. He is a trusted go-to person for many of these areas and has made an impact beyond this in the Beam community by helping to organize events like Beam Summit/College, mentoring contributors through the Google Summer of Code program, and contributing to many core conversations and processes that keep our community healthy. Yi has had a consistent positive impact on the project that is both broad and deep, and we're excited to welcome him into the PMC. Congratulations Yi and thanks for being a part of Apache Beam!
