I cannot write the grant myself (I am not a developer and do not know a lot about the openoffice.org organization). It is open to universities, non-profit institutions, government organizations, for-profit institutions, and individuals.
This is not a bad idea. I'm in the U.S. When's the deadline? My time's really short for the next couple months.
If I did do it, I'd need a lot of help.
