What I would *hope* that we would have is something that is a little
like Microsoft's Research Pane, which would be used for inserting
citations. That would talk to whatever database, and when adding
citations, the records would be downloaded and embedded in the wrapper.
Formatting would be a separate step using those embedded data records.
I think the API we would use for this would be ZOOM, which would mean
we'd get support for communicating with SRU and SRW servers (along with
others).
We'd need help from the ZOOM gurus to figure out *precisely* how this
would work, but my hope would be that one could choose a preferred
database from a list of options (a RefBase instance and account might
be one), which could be local or remote (working over SRU, etc.).
