Not really starting from the list of fields and settings we have to deal with - make nice GUI designs. However, the add/edit reference data is a complex issue though, we want a simple interface so the low skill / knowledge users can easily add a reference, but the 'power' options must be there for the professional. Also some insight is need to how different people will want to work. I would guess a tabbed interface and perhaps some 'More option' buttons for the power users to access the more complex and specialised options. Lots on fun here - every will have there own view.
