Actually I found another way, which will get rid of the ugly sed. If we use the
"-L" flag in pidofproc, it will follow the system's python symlink, therefore
we can refer the executable as just "python" instead of its version qualified
name (e.g. "python2.6"), thereby removing the need for sed.
