Marshall Pierce commented on BIGTOP-1028:
-----------------------------------------
Andrew, I'm going through your pull requests now. (Thanks, by the way!)
It's probably worth explicitly pointing out that if the structure we originally
built for making requests against ${storage technology of choice} doesn't work
for you, feel free to build your own separate plugin. So, if the abstractions
feel wrong in the current HBase plugins, there's nothing "blessed" about the
ones that are part of the main repo. (In fact, I intend to remove them and put
them in their own project since they don't really need to live there.) Either
way, let me know if I can help beyond approving your pull requests!

> At a recent Bigtop meetup there was a presentation on Palomino Labs'
> BenchPress (https://github.com/palominolabs/benchpress), a framework for
> constructing distributed benchmarks and tests. In subsequent discussion some
> expressed interest in taking up BenchPress into Bigtop somehow. This is a
> proposal for packaging BenchPress into Bigtop.
