Andrew Purtell commented on BIGTOP-1104:
----------------------------------------

Not all errors are equal. 'bad-distribution-in-changes-file' doesn't trigger an
installation warning.

> When building packages on/for Ubuntu and Debian, the 'lintian' tool is run as
> the last step to check package quality. This utility will produce warning or
> error messages according to its rules for packaging standards. The results
> are saved into the package. Although packages produced with lintian errors
> will successfully install, at least on Ubuntu the Software Center will throw
> up an ugly dialog declaring the package is of bad quality.
