Yes, I agree that each component should build against particular version of
hadoop, not only for oozie. This is exactly what bigtop doing. For each bigtop
release, a particular combination of versions for different components is
provided. So, each component is build against particular version of hadoop.
What I mean for "without knowing the exact version of hadoop" is no version
info in referred symlink. This makes implementation more easier and cleaner.
But I don't think this breaks the guarantee of building oozie against
particular hadoop verison.
