Peter, I am looking into [SUSE
repo|http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/mrdocs:/protobuf-rpm/CentOS_CentOS-6/i686/]
and 2.5 bits are there. So, I believe it all it takes to make out
bigtop_toolchain to pick it up.
