Sean Mackrory updated BIGTOP-1308:
----------------------------------
Attachment: 0001-BIGTOP-1308.-Installing-HBase-removes-chrony-if-it-i.patch
Good one. Also I changed the comma to a pipe, as even though the conflict
between the two makes this result in identical behavior as far as I can see,
"OR" is what I really mean to say, not "AND".
Also, I tested that ntp is still preferred if you install HBase and have
neither installed, which is probably what we want...
> Installing HBase removes chrony if it is configured

> HBase Debian packages recommend ntp, which conflicts with chrony. I believe
> ntp is not actually a dependency of HBase, but recommended simply as a way to
> prevent clock skew which would adversely affect HBase. Chrony fulfills the
> recommendation in the same way, so recommending either one is acceptable, and
> installations should not force the removal of chrony.
