I am happy to help out. I looked at the Hive issue and it looks like we may
be hitting http://bugs.java.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6302954.

So, if we were to upgrade that to that JDK for Hive, I have a feeling
things would get better.

And, I am already on Crunch's case.
