Yes. I searched https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BIGTOP-730 was created to
provide binary tar package.
Initial thoughts to enhance (example)
add the following line in hadoop/do-component-build:
cp -f hadoop-dist/target/hadoop-${HADOOP_VERSION}.tar.gz `dirname
${0}`/../../bintar
> Keep binary tarball after building packages or support build tarball command
