I believe all of the init scripts in Bigtop packages are maintained by Bigtop
and not the upstream projects. I'd recommend you use the template instead
because it takes care of several differences between Red Hat-based distros and
Debian, and in general just follows all the conventions that the rest of Bigtop
does.
