Putting on a different hat, lets say a product marketing one, and looking at
bigtop as a solution the group is selling to people to get usage out of..,
think its a numbers/lead-gen game just like selling commercial software. More
people you get using, more bugs and usage improvement feedback comes to the
group.., and eventually contributions even if just tests, docs, new components,
etc.
Instead of looking at it through lens of giving credit to these companies.., I
like to look at it as an in increased % opportunity to get someones attention
of what bigtop is, why it matters, along lines of "if aws, pivotal, etc are all
using it for bigdata deployments, why aren't you?" Showing logos of large
"important" companies using it has WAY more effect than saying in line of text
"all commercial and open source distributions use bigtop".
You guys decide, my main pt is instead of all text flyer should try and make
more visual communication
