The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache BigTophas asked

RJ Nowling

to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that they have accepted.

RJ has been instrumental in:

- making the BigPetStore application relevant in a post-mapreduce era, and

- has published and curated the new markov model based data generator
in an independent venue on his own time to make our lives easier (i
think now we can merge and maintain it inside of BigTop).

- is the first contributor to BigTop who also published a paper about
BigTop in a major venue.

- has proposed some great ideas about how we can maintain packages
(MAINTAINERS.txt) and

- improved the health and coherence of the overall project, by asking
alot of tough questions.

Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since
there is no need to go via the patch submission process.

This should enable better productivity.
