Andrew, According to [1] and [2], It seems that Hive 0.13+ and Pig 0.12+ have the Parquet support out of thebox. so using Parquet stuff on Hive and Pig does not need additional packaging works. But if you mean 'Integration Apache Parquet into Bigtop stack', I could not find a relevant JIRA.
