bigtop 1.2.0 question

Hi ,
Is there any reference architecture  document for bigtop release 1.2.0?
specially, I would like to know, what will be the version of the
components. Trying to put-together a development plan for my team :)
While we're on the the subject, any objection to move to Spark 2.0 ( should
be available on April)?
