@ktsakalozos i feel like i hijacked this PR from you, but I can assure you
it was for the greater good! My recent commits have come as a result of
watching cwr for the spark-processing bundle:

Mostly adjusting timeouts and docs, but some re-composition of tests and
sparkbench fixes. I'll merge this assuming the Nov 05 cwr runs go green.
