Hi!
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-19231 contains an easy patch that is
present in Hive 3.x (so no point to add to the master branch) but not in the
Hive 2.x branch. It causes some subtle issues (at least it did in my prod
environment), so I'd ask if possible to backport the patch to the 1.5 branch so
people can build packages without keeping a separate repo with patches etc..
