   Yes, that's what we're trying to do.  After some tweaks, the packages 
install phase still gives some warnings and fails to install some packages.  As 
a workaround, we are preinstalling the packages and that seems to be enough for 
now, as the process seems to work fine from there, so thats a step forward.

in centOS cluster. will be happy to share if there is interests in open source

   We started with a version a few commits back from 3.0, so that's something I 
still need to try.  We're also using Debian 11 instead of CentOS.  Our stack 
also requires NiFi and Kafka, so we're also working on packaging NiFi, as 
that's not part of Bigtop.  As a proof of concept it seems to be working.
   
   I'm looking forward to try the new version and all those changes I've seen 
to get it working with Ambari 2.7.5.
