Hi, recently we've encountered a problem with HiveServer2 service discovery. When using beeline to connect to hs2 via ZooKeeper sometimes it chooses /hiveserver2/leader instead of the proper key which would result in "Unable to read HiveServer2 url from ZooKeeper" error. We've lurked around JIRA and found there is a patch available for this but was not merged into HIVE.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-19825 I built new Hive rpm with this patch and tested it on my local cluster and that does indeed fix the issue. Any chance of getting this merged into bigtop?
