Hi all, When trying to promote Google Summer of Code and Apache Bloodhound to local students recently I found that most had never developed in an open source environment, so Gary and I hosted a little in-person introduction to GSoC and Bloodhound today. We had about 15 students turn up and 6 stayed afterwards to install Bloodhound on their own laptops.
We're hoping that many will start contributing on the mailing list, the wiki and with code soon. Several will be making GSoC applications too. Cheers, Joe
