[~arunmk] In our BookKeeper internal branch at Yahoo we've been using 
authentication for a while now. [~ikelly] did the work to add a generic 
framework on which is possible to plug any auth implementation. For example at 
Yahoo we use some certificate based method. 

The idea would be to later add some standard auth method in the BK itself and 
leave the possibility to easily add integrate with other auth mechanisms 
without the need to change BK code.

I'll submit a pull-request with the current patch.
