Hi Geoff, Thanks for sharing this. I've been working lastes weeks on upgrading some of the dependency versions to avoid ones with known vulnerabilities. For Guava, even knowing it wasn't completely clean, I bumped it to 23.6.1-jre, I'll try to update it to 30.1-jre today and see if it builds correctly.
I also updated XStream to 1.4.15 and that makes some tests fail and I need to fix and do some manual tests before even thinking about opening a PR. Once I have a working version, I'll share the notes on the list.
