I've been experimenting with an approach to use existing Juju charms as Brooklyn entities sidestepping Juju's tools and agents. The charm is represented as a regular entity within Brooklyn's workflow. The only thing needed is the charm's URL and Brooklyn does the job of setting up and starting the entity. The project along with sample usage can be found at https://github.com/brooklyncentral/brooklyn-juju As the code is in the early stages of development there are lots of things needing improvement but the main thing missing is dealing with charm relations.
