All good comments, addressed.
The failing integration test is very strange, as we've already successfully
completed a rebind of `appRO` and that sensor value should always be either `3`
or `4`; i can't see how it got `null` apart from some malicious race. We
already run `invocationCount=50` and I've never seen it, so it's a very slim
race. Something we must keep an eye on.
The core logic hasn't changed since @aledsage reviewed that so I'm going to
merge.
