F12 Just broke our buildr by upgrading gems

My team is in the bad istuation where they can't run 'yum update' 
because the Fedora 12 and later version of rubygems has been upgraded to 
a version that is known to break buildr.  Is there aplan to update the 
1.3 Branch, or shoud I grab the 1.4 Gem?
