Lars Francke commented on BVAL-103:
-----------------------------------
Hi,
sorry to jump into this without having participated in any of the previous
discussions. I personally have no problem with a dependency on SLF4J but I
understand the reasoning behind the switch to JUL. A dependency on SLF4J has
the advantage of clearly documenting the logging that a library uses.
That said it'd be very nice to have it documented somewhere that BVal can log
using JUL. There are some libraries where I only found out after quite some
time that they log at all.
> switch BVal from slf4j to java.util.logging

> Team consensus seems to go that the convenience of slf4j for the bval team
> doesn't justify the potential inconvenience for users, given the slight
> amount of logging we do.
