Apache commons libs are great and they also care a lot about backward
compatibility. Still it creates some issues for container lib projects. They
might e.g. create classpath clashes with newer commons libs used in customer
projects. Most of this is fixable by updating the container libs. But this is
not something random joe does.
So it might be better to remove the dependency to commons-lang3 at all.
