I notice that it is fairly easy for someone to take control over a meetup 
group, so let me say something about governance. To be clear, I have no 
indications that anyone has anything but the best intentions for this group, so 
this is just me worrying about a hypothetical worst case. The group’s name and 
description includes the trademark “Apache Calcite” and therefore we, the PMC, 
have the right of veto over what the meetup group does. Or request that it 
changes its name.

That would give us some control over this group, if it should ever come to 
that. To repeat, I have no doubt that everyone is acting in good faith.
