In normal circumstances, using gradle to publish the release should also create the tag and push it to ASF Git[1].

The actual commit on main is https://github.com/apache/calcite/commit/5ad825c97edc0ee275a9a7257d6d6f62f12c49af, which might be a problem for us, since calcite-1.33.0 and calcite-1.33.0-rc0 points to 96b05ee. We could perhaps do a rebase on main, but that will break all the clones and everyone will need to do a force update on their local copy.

explicitly 1.33.0 release without -rc suffix"
git push origin calcite-1.33.0

However, I noticed another small problem that I don't think we can fix at
the moment.

The release commit:
https://github.com/apache/calcite/commit/96b05ee12f936ed057265072ff6a2de8ea0a249e

is not present in the main branch. It might have been caused by doing a
cherry-pick instead of merging back to main.
