@Mihai this is based on Apache's automatic report of project statistics. At this moment for Calcite it shows "Community Health Score (Chi): 9.60 (Super Healthy)" I'm not sure how this formula gets calculated, but it seems its based on metrics like emails per day in all mailing lists, committers / PMC members added in the last six months, etc.
