Looks like a great feature. Lets get it in for 2.5. BTW: I wonder if camel-cxf RS Producer (REST) supports the async CXF API as well? Looking into the source in CxfRsProducer it appears to be synchronous. And it uses org.apache.cxf.jaxrs.client.WebClient as the client to send the request.
