As of Camel 2.8 this is already possible through the use of the
{{CamelSqlQuery}} header (see http://camel.apache.org/sql-component.html). This
was implemented in CAMEL-3800. Subsequently CAMEL-3801 was closed as duplicate.
This issue looks like a duplicate of CAMEL-3801.
Would the functionality developed in CAMEL-3800 satisfy your needs?
