It makes sense. I will take a look on the Jira to see what we could merge.

Hi Claus,
+1,
I guess that we could merge some fixes in this release (for instance, the
xstream 1.4.1 update, etc).WDYT ?
I would actually discourage against bigger dependency updates such as
xstream 1.3 -> 1.4.
There was already some issues in xstream 1.4 so they had to do a 1.4.1.
However if there is an update like groovy 1.8.0 -> 1.8.1 we may consider that.
Likewise I guess possible CXF 2.4.1 -> 2.4.2
But yeah we should go over the JIRA tickets which has been fixed for
2.9 and backport bug fixes which can be easily backported.
I will update ServiceMix to include Camel 2.8.1.

Hi
Its been 1 month since Camel 2.8.0 was released.
And we have a 2.8 branch where we have merged bug fixes.
I suggest that we consider doing a 2.8.1 release in the near term, for
example in about 1 - 2 weeks.
Apache ActiveMQ 5.6.0 is upgrading to Apache Camel 2.8.x. And as we
have a bug fixed in 2.8.1, I would love that AMQ could upgrade and use
2.8.1 instead of 2.8.0.
Likewise SMX 4.4 is to be released with Camel 2.8.0. And I guess it
would be great if SMX included 2.8.1.
There is not so often a new SMX release so it would be good if we
included an as most bug free version of 2.8 which would be 2.8.1
release.
Any feedback?
