I just merged the patches which fixed the test error on camel 2.8.x
branch.
The build should be OK now.

I had 3 issues building the release. First, related to svn I resolved, the
second was related to checkstyle, also resolved. The last one was a failure to
tag which I don't understand yet. It is getting late, I will have to
investigate and restart the builds tomorrow morning (it is Labor Day in the US,
so I should have enough time).
Cheers,

Hi guys,
I would like to release SMX 4.4 soon. For now, the target is Camel
2.8.0. We
still have some time in SMX to update to Camel 2.8.1, but I think we
shouldn't wait too long ;)
I am backporting the fixes now. I would like Camel 2.8.1 as part of
the new SMX 4.4 release.
There is not so often a new SMX release so we should put in the best
Camel version we can do.
Okay I have backported the bug fixes.
And kicked off a 2.8.1 deploy build
https://builds.apache.org/job/Camel-2.8.x/
And kicking off a 2.8.1 full test as well
https://builds.apache.org/job/Camel.2.8.x.fulltest/

I will and get ready for the 2.8.1 release.

Did you have a change to do this?
A new ESB and AMQ releases is on the way and they would like to use
2.8.1 with the needed bug fixes.
Would be great to, yeah if possible, lets take the opportunity and get
the RC cut so we could get a release our the door
for the benefit for our sister projects at Apache.

Anyone got cycles to take a look at the bug fixes in Camel 2.9,
which
may not have been backported. And then merge any bug fixes which
seems
reasonable to be backported?
I guess this is the current bug fixed on 2.9
https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&jqlQuery=project+%3D+CAMEL+AND+issuetype+%3D+Bug+AND+resolution+%3D+Fixed+AND+fixVersion+%3D+12316374+AND+status+%3D+Resolved+ORDER+BY+updated+DESC%2C+key+DESC
There is 37 bugs fixed, and there may be some fixes which havent
been
backported.
