The same "issue" may require a CXF 2.3.7 release to go into Camel 2.7.3. I need to double check that first though. If that IS the case, I personally would rather do 2.7.3 with a fix in 2 weeks than do 2.7.3 next week and 2.7.4 2 weeks later, although I'm open to that idea as well.
