Hi Freeman Do you mind trying to install some of the Camel 2.8.3 examples in the SMX ?
I have been told for example the camel-example-spring-xquery had an issue where Saxon would throws some exception about unknown/unsupported Source. Check the logs if there is an ERROR/WARN etc. That should have been fixed on the Camel side, so I would like to know if that seems to work on SMX. A reason is the upcoming SMX 4.4.0 which will ship with Camel 2.8.3, should be as good as it can be. This is after all only the 2nd release of SMX this year. So we want it to be a great release. And if possible if you got a bit more time, try to install some of other Camel examples. And check the logs for ERROR/WARN. There should be features for some of them.
