Hi Hadrian,
I just try to do some dry run on my box, but it takes age to check out
a new svn trunk.
You save me lots of time, I will buy you a beer for it :)

I did a dry run yesterday and everything looks good. I am planning on
building the release this afternoon. If anybody has any late minute
fix, please shout, or find me on irc.
Cheers,
Hadrian

I know Dan is in the middle of CXF release.
If Hadrian doesn't have any other plan to do it, I can do the release
tomorrow morning which means you have 12 hours to catch up the release
train :).
Please let me know if you have any other thought.

Hi
I have moved the last 9 tickets from fix version 2.9.0 to 2.9.1, which
people did not react upon.
I have polished and fixed some CI errors in the last few days.
I think we are in shape to start cutting a RC of the 2.9.0 release.
We could keep an eye on the CI servers today, and also give the
community and other Camel team members
a day to work on any last minute tickets they consider a blocker.
The Apache CI servers are here:
https://builds.apache.org/
I ran the OSGi tests this morning and they all passed on my laptop.
It would be nice to run them on a Windows system as well.
In terms of cutting the release. Does any of the 3 release managers
who have done releases recently have time? Hadrian, Dan or Willem?
It would be great if one of you have time later this week to cut the
RC, so we can deliver the 2.9.0 release to the community *this year*.
Its been 5 months since the 2.8.0 release.

Hi
I have been working on some tickets for Camel 2.9 as well fix unit
tests so the CI servers start to become happy.
Could people take a look at the 16 remainder tickets assigned for
Camel 2.9.0.

I have created a new 2.9.1 version, so fell free to move tickets to
this version if you do not have time in the very near term to work on
the tickets.
The SMX team have a VOTE in progress for some new OSGi bundles, which
we need for a couple of tickets. Hopefully those bundles
get passed the VOTE tomorrow, and Jean can promote the artifcats to
Maven Central. Then we can get a few tickets resolved that dep on
these bundles.
As the CI servers do not run the OSGi tests by default. I suggest
people who have some time to give it a test on their system.
Last time I ran on Windows, there were 2 failures. I can't recall if I
saw those failures on OSX as well.
Anyway we are shaping up for the 2.9.0 release. So lets get it done
before the x-mas holidays start to take the better of our time.
Camel 2.8.0 was released a very long time ago
http://camel.apache.org/2011/07/25/camel-280-released.html
So that will be almost 5 months since last time, if we get 2.9.0 out
before x-mas.
