Hi Willem,

no Karaf doesn't for now.

I think that Karaf should provide a set of Spec/API features that could be used by Camel, CXF, and others projects. The "control" of the Spec/API and comment in the jre.properties should be the responsibility of Karaf.

Hi

I'm not sure if the karaf provides the woodstox feature by default. If
so, we could

BTW, we still need to face the issue that uses the JDK6 implementation
or not.

Hi guys,

I tested all Camel features one by one, in a Karaf 2.2.4 installed from
scratch:

- camel-cxf: failed out of the box as it requires tuning of
jre.properties
- camel-jibx: missing dependency to javax.xml.stream (woodstox)
- camel-xstream: missing dependency to javax.xml.stream (woodstox)
- camel-spring-ws: failed out of the box as it requires tuning of
jre.properties
- camel-hdfs: missing dependency to javax.xml.bind (JAXB)
- camel-soap: missing dependency to javax.xml.bind (JAXB)
- camel-atom: missing dependency to javax.xml.stream (woodstox)
- camel-rss: missing dependency to javax.xml.stream (woodstox)

I saw another potential issue on the camel-spring-* features. Currently,
these features reference directly Spring bundles.
It would be luch more clean to reference the Karaf spring features.

I raised the corresponding Jira to fix these issues.

Yeah, you're right, I forgot to delete the old tag. The safest is to
redo the release. I'll restart it now. Apologies for the delay.

I think there is something wrong with the tag.

I see a "trunk" dir in:

http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/camel/tags/camel-2.9.0/

which looks like it has all of camel in it as well. I think the tag is
wrong
(likely didn't delete the old tag?) and I'm not really sure which was
built
for the release.
