Thanks its a good step in the right direction.

For quickfix, there is a new release (1.5.2), we could possible try to
see if that is compatible with Java7

And we need an osgi bundle for it anyway, so we may publish it in the SMX repo
http://repo2.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/servicemix/bundles/org.apache.servicemix.bundles.quickfix/


For the fix in XStreamDataFormat.java, i wonder if the hardcoded namespace to
  @XmlType(name = "converterList", namespace =
"http://camel.apache.org/schema/spring";)
would be an issue for Blueprint XML, as we have the schema as:
    "http://camel.apache.org/schema/blueprint"; instead
