Yes. This will be a useful component but don't agree that it used in lot of old
systems. We have used it in latest systems for intra-enterprise integration.
External interfaces to outer world are SOAP.

Subject: [jira] [Created] (CAMEL-5778) Add camel-xmlrpc component

Willem Jiang created CAMEL-5778:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: Add camel-xmlrpc component
                 Key: CAMEL-5778
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-5778
             Project: Camel
          Issue Type: New Feature
            Reporter: Willem Jiang
            Assignee: Willem Jiang
             Fix For: 2.11.0

As [XML-RPC|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XML-RPC] is wildly used in lots of old
services system, it makes sense that camel can invoke this kind of service with
the help of camel-xmlrpc component.

BTW, as XML-RPC defined a mapping protocol between the method call to xml,
xmlrpc date format could help us to do the marshal and unmarshal work at the
same time.
