It is certainly possible, but there are no plans for that at this time.
Contributions are welcome though, if somebody feels strongly about it.
You can also ask and get some help from the community.
Camel is essentially a java technology, runs on the jvm. That is why it
integrates well with languages like groovy and scale. It works well with
ruby and python via jruby and jython respectively.
For a lua integration you'll need something similar. There are a few
options, but I don't know enough to make a recommendation, from luaj to
kahlua, mochalua and javalua. License is important (some of them are
MIT, which is great). Some are no longer maintained, another thing to
think about.
Anyway, if anybody is interested, I'd suggest starting a project on
github or somewhere and ask for help.
