I decided to switch back [1] to the very first version of the OSGi detection method - analyzing the name of the Camel Context. It is primitive and simplified however it will work for 99% of the user cases. In the meantime I'll try to figure out the best way to detect if code is deployed OSGi (without relying on the OSGi API). Cheers.
