Hi Due to a leak in camel-core when an exchange has failed (not handled) due to an exception, then the route mbean doesnt clear an inflight record of the exchange.
This is reported by https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-8626 I think this warrants that we do a patch release in due time.
