Yeah, I agree Claus. That's why I'm not a big fan of my proposed solution, It would be cleaner if the CamelContext (or CamelContextFactoryBean) itself resolved PropertyPlaceHolder on its own without regarding the implementation (spring, blueprint, cdi, whatever).
