nicolaferraro commented on issue #669: Remove depenency on Istio for Knative sources URL: https://github.com/apache/camel-k/issues/669#issuecomment-494455136 The operator should make sure that annotations on the source and integration are propagated to the final container. This way, if Istio is needed by a Knative installation, the integration itself should be marked with Istio annotations and so will be the containers. This works also when the integration is managed by e.g. a Knative CamelSource (provided that the camel source operator propagates annotations to the integration). The same approach should be valid also for alternatives to Istio.
