Hi It would be great if anyone had time and opportunity to build a new camel-smooks component so we have a better story for EDI mapping with open source libraries and tools
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-19985 I think at first its maybe either a component or dataformat, or both. A data format is a harder to implement as it requires adding code into core.
